Privacy Policy

Iconic Engine, Inc., (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) a Delaware corporation, respects our Users privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy.

This policy describes User information that may be collected through Iconic Engine’s Metaverse Engine™ suite of modular technologies. A Metaverse Engine™ app (“the App”) and its interface, software, content, functionality, and services (collectively, the “Services”) require us to collect and use the Personal Information in order to fully function.  Personal Information includes the anonymized User information that we process, store, and use:

  • When a User downloads the App;
  • When a User accesses and uses the App and its Services; and
  • Through the third-party service providers necessary for the functionality of the App.

What categories of Personal Information are collected?

  • Identifiers:  User’s email address, screen name, IP address, and unique device identifier (e.g. , IDFV for iOS devices and Android ID for Android devices, Oculus Quest 1 & Quest 2)
  • Commercial information:  If the App enables purchases through an App store, the App collects information on the items and Interactive Services a User purchases through that App store.
  • Voice data: User’s voice data through their microphone. Iconic Engine does not store this information.
  • Interactions within the App’s environments: To understand how people use the App so that we can make our products more intuitive, we retain and evaluate information about how Users move through the App.
  • Geolocation information: The real-time location of a User’s device.
  • Information about the User’s Device: The unique device identifier, IP address, manufacturer, model platform, operating system and version of OS, and geolocation.
  • Country of install: The country from which the User downloads the App.
  • Anonymized information: We may collect anonymous information that is associated with a User’s account. We reserve the right to use this information for any permissible business purpose under applicable law.

How is Personal Information collected?

We collect Personal information from or about Users directly when:

  • They register online by providing an email address and screen name or you provide us with User credentials.
  • When they purchase an item or Interactive Service through the App Store.
  • When a User attempts to connect with other users within the App by supplying screen names or other credentials.

We also automatically collect Personal Information indirectly from Users and Third-Party Services when a User:

  • Downloads the App.
  • Accesses and uses the App and its Services.

Third-Party Services
We use these Third-Party Services to provide functionality to the App:

  • Amazon Web Services, used for application program interface (API), and server backends/databases. 
  • Amplitude, used for analytics to improve user experience.
  • Photon enables Users to interact with each other.
  • Unity Vivox, provides Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) services so that users can speak to each other within the App.
  • YouTube API Services, enables Users to search for and display YouTube content within the App. Use of YouTube is governed by and Google’s Privacy Policy at

Iconic Engine does not sell any User information or analytics to any third party. Analytics we receive from and share with Third-Party Services has been anonymized.

How does Iconic Engine use Personal Information?

We use personal information to:

  • Improve User experience on the App through analytics.
  • Recognize a User when they use the App.
  • Fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.
  • Carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.
  • Give Users notices about their accounts.
  • To send Users notifications about the App such as upgrades, new features, promotions, or events. Users may opt out of receiving these notifications.

We also may disclose a User’s Personal Information:

  • If they have consented to such a disclosure.
  • In furtherance of legal, health, and safety, and other matters in the public interest.
  • If legally compelled to do so such as in response to a subpoena, search warrant, court order, or other legal process.
  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of us or others; and
  • To our Third-Party Services for:
    • Analytics,
    • Hosting and backend infrastructure, and
    • Handling payments in the App Store.

How do we store Personal Information?

We store User Personal Information on servers in the State of Oregon and in Frankfurt, Germany. 

We have implemented measures designed to secure Personal Information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information provided to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology.

Users are responsible for keeping log-in credentials confidential. We ask that they not share passwords with anyone. 

We retain the Personal Information that we collect from Users where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so. For example, we retain Personal Information in order to continue to provide access to and use of the App and its Services and to communicate with Users. Users may request that we deactivate their account or delete their personal information by contacting us at Although we will no longer process Personal Information if we receive such a request, we will securely store the Personal information for as long as we deem it reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

How does the App Use tracking technologies?

We use a token id to maintain a User’s log-in status. 

Certain Third-Party Services may use automatic information collection technologies to collect information about a User or a User’s device (see list of our current Third-Party Services above) when the User is using the App or its contents. Third-Party Services may use tracking technologies to collect information about Users when they use the App. The information they collect may be associated with User’s Personal Information or they may collect information, including Personal Information, about User’s online activities over time and across different websites, apps, and other online services websites. We do not control these Third-Party Service tracking technologies or how they may be used.

What are Users’ data protection rights?

We would like to make sure Users are fully aware of their data protection rights. These rights may differ by age, region, state and country.

Children's Privacy Rights

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected Personal Information from a child under 13, we will delete that information and the user account. If you believe we might have any Personal Information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at We may require parents and guardians to provide additional information to verify their identity before we provide any information or make corrections. This information will be kept confidential.

California Consumer Privacy Act Disclosure

Residents of California have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect about them and from where we collect it
  • Access a copy of the personal information we hold about them.
  • Understand how we process their personal information and how it may be shared.
  • Opt out of having their personal information shared with certain third parties.
  • Request we delete their the App account and personal information.

Children's Privacy Rights

Users have the following data privacy rights:

  • The right to access - They have the right to request copies of your personal data from Iconic Engine. We may charge them a small fee for this service.
  • The right to rectification - They have the right to request that Iconic Engine corrects any information they believe is inaccurate. They also have the right to request that Iconic Engine completes information that they believe is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure - They have the right to request that Iconic Engine erases their personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to restrict processing - They have the right to request that Iconic Engine restricts the processing of their personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to object to processing - They have the right to object to Iconic Engine’s processing of their personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to data portability - They have the right to request that Iconic Engine transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to them, under certain conditions.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we treat Users' Personal Information, we will post the new privacy policy on this page with a notice that the privacy policy has been updated.
